Blue Cross Mission Ladies
St. Ambrose Parish Blue Cross Mission members meet monthly to sew quilts of various sizes according to the needs of the receivers. Quilts are given to Iowa City Vets Hospital, local nursing homes, homeless shelters, and especially to mothers-to-be and small children. A pot luck lunch is served at noon, followed by business meeting. Working for the needy of the area is very rewarding and strong friendships are formed. All ladies may join, even non servers.
Blue Cross Mission Ladies will meet on Tuesday of each month, September through June (depending upon the the temperature), from 9:00 to 3:00 to work on quilts and have their monthly meeting. Women of our parish please consider to join them and meet other women of our parish. Bring a dish for potluck luncheon. Any questions, please call Sister Claudia at the Parish Office at 787-4593 Learn more.

We help support local Catholic education with Scholarships to Jordan and Alleman, and we help support seminarians in the Peoria Diocese.
Our Council meets in the Parish center on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. All actively practicing catholic gentlemen are welcome to join our ranks. Learn more.
